I had this book on my TBR list for a long time. I mean, 4.48 average rating. No truly negative (written) reviews whatsoever and it’s been out for years. When I see books like this on Goodreads, I just assume that, at worst, I’m not going to like the plot - but, surely, the writing should be OK.

Well, let me tell you, it's not. It’s so bad, that even though I DNF’d at 16%, I had to rate it 1 star, because for one, I think it’s absolutely crazy that no other review mentions how bad the writing and editing are, and 2, I had to stop because I couldn’t even understand everything the author was trying to say sometimes, the writing was so bad.

I just don’t understand how you can spend so long writing a book, getting it designed and published, promoting it, and so on, especially as a self-pub author, and yet you barely make any effort to edit it? Writing a book, good or bad, is such an amazing thing to do, such a personal thing to share with the world, so I can’t understand how someone can have so little respect for their own work.

There are errors from the very first page of the prologue. Frankly, you could probably find at least one error on each page (but usually, there are more).

I get it, editing services, especially good ones, are expensive. But dude, you could get a free trial with Grammarly, not pay anything, just so you can edit at least your most glaring mistakes. Ask a few friends to read it, use an editing software, just do SOMETHING.

It’s absolutely FILLED with errors, the punctuation is atrocious, and the dialogue is awkward and lacking, to say the least (especially because the author keeps using the future perfect tense in dialogue and it sounds SO strange).

“together hugging, we jumped up and down.”

“Christ, was I that predictable to Alex, I corrected myself Mr. Blackmore?”

“They rested on, and took all the space of the coffee table, blue and lilac roses.”

“I recognised it instantly as a Nickelback track, OK now we had a similar taste in music, too.”

Not only is this sentence wrong, but dude, Nickelback, really? I know everyone makes fun of them for being the worst band, but…well, they kind have a point. Plus, I refuse to believe that a world-famous moto racer, player, etc. listens to Nickelback. And if he does listen to them, that he would just freely advertise it.

Back to the quotes:

“Edwards had agreed to drive me to a second hand store, much to his disgust and a rather animated phone call to, I presume, Alex.”

Much to an animated phone call? What does that mean? At least the author used comas here.

“Listening to her as she started to sing along with Pink’s U and UR hand, I had playing.”

Yes, that is a full sentence.

“and she was going to make him dinner, too. As she was got rid of, so not embarrass you, I think we owe him some English stew.”

This is an actual piece of dialogue between 2 supposed human beings born and raised in England (so, supposedly, they should know the language).

“I know you have just fed and watered me, and shared the best film I have ever seen”

Once again, this is supposed dialogue. Oh, and coming from a 20 something moto racer player dude. Also, the author used the term “shared” twice instead of “watching” or something normal that people would actually say about a film.

“Being ever nosy and realising that I couldn’t reopen the door now. I flung myself to the spy hole.”

Did she also hurt her head when she flung herself to a door?

“Frankie, books are not real life, men in them do not exist in reality.”

This is by 16% - and these are just some of the highlights.

And then, there’s also the hero. By 16%, I didn’t even get to meet him. Except for the texting he did with the heroine, which led me to believe that he is actually a 13-year old girl trying to catfish the heroine:

“Frankie
I remember lots about you!
Talk later, heading into a meeting now
X
CEO Blackmore industries”

Like, I’m TOTALLY heading into a meeting now, you HAVE to believe me. Also, btw, this is a text.

“I will try to keep in touch with you, as you lighten my day and my days always need lightening if you know what I mean.
Yours Alex
CEO Blackmore industries”

Maybe she knows what he means, but I’m not sure I do.

All the quotes are exactly like in the book. Punctuation, wording, everything.

I was almost tempted to keep reading just so I could find out how the hell this guy will try to pass as a dominant alpha male CEO, but I just couldn't. Every other sentence I’m completely taken out of the story because it’s just so bad.

Frankie is a strong woman who has seen her share of disappointment. She is ready to put her grief behind her and take on New York with the prospect of a new job and living with her best friend. But will demons from her past keep her from truly moving on?
Alex is a gorgeous captain of his rugby team on the weekends who controls the boardroom during the week. His family relies on him to keep everything in order. Control is his specialty.
When Frankie meets Alex there is an instant connection. Will the secrets he is keeping and the demons of her past push her away, or will they realize they are Fated for each other?

This debut novel by AS Roberts had me hooked from the very start. She has created characters that are perfectly flawed, and a story line filled with secrets, and twists that will have you turning pages, and staying up late to squeeze in just one more chapter. I instantly connected with Frankie, and fell in lust with Alex. The supporting characters of Bella and Nathan rounded out the story perfectly. There is a small glimpse into Bella and Nathan's lives that will make you want more of their story. Lucky for us, they will be getting their own book coming soon.
This story filled me with so many emotions. I laughed out loud, cried, fell in love, had my heart broken, was frustrated along with the characters, and felt the joy of their HEA.

I give Fated 5 very emotional and love filled stars.

I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review

Outstanding! As Frankie accepts a dream job and relocates to NYC, she discovers a whole new world of comfort. While she works with Nathan, her patient, it's his brother Alex (her sexy boss) that captures her attention. Although Alex remains behind the scenes, a relationship blooms. When Frankie discovers who Alex really is will it be a roadblock worth fighting for?

Alex is determined to win Frankie over. However, he has past scars that he's trying to purge. Moreover, Frankie holds a world of grief in her own heart. Can Frankie believe in Alex? Will she trust Alex and his devotion to her? Can Alex fix his present predicament without losing Frankie? Family is everything but past hurts and obligations just might be more than these two bargained for.

A S Roberts has everything in Fated. A full length novel with laughter, tears and steamy sexy time. Fated is a story that shares the journey of two people worthy of your attention. A must read!

Wow! Alex Blackmore is one hunk-a-hotness and I love it. I mean come on who doesn't love A) Military men or B) Dominant Alfa male Billionaire business hunks. Hello well Alex Blackmore is a bothis both A and B! Frankie is pretty damn awesome as well she's our leading Brit lady. Who gets the job opportunity of a life time in NYC. So when she hops over the big pond to come on over here not only to have one banging job but she also gets to see her bestie Miss Bella. Great job nice digs and your best friend, life couldn't be better. See when everything is all hunky-doory like that you just know something is gonna go wrong. But come on A.S. Roberts why did you have to make me cry so hard. So an Alfa male, sweet British girl, and a cluster nonsense what more could you want?

Okay so I'd say this one was a solid 3 stars maybe even a 3.5

This one was a pretty good read. Overall the characters were great and easy to like and connect with. The writing was pretty good as well especially for what I believe was this authors first book. The flow was great and there were times where I was laughing out loud and all that but there was something missing. I'm not sure if it just needed a bit more punch or what. I don't know maybe a bit more flushing out of the home situation on Alex's part would've helped a bit more.

Overall I enjoyed this one and looking forward to reading the next book to see how Nathan and Bella's story plays out.

It was an honor and pleasure to read the debut from A.S. Roberts, Fated.
The story a young woman named Frankie Jones who has had a bad beginning, her mom, Karen took no interest in her other than what Frankie could do for her. Frankie was taken in by her Aunt and Uncle, her father's brother, they had one son, James. James and Frankie were thick as thieves, more brother, and sister than first cousins. Despite Frankie's difficult up bring and her losses, she became a British physiotherapist who decides to take a job of a lifetime. Frankie relocated over the pond to New York City; her patient Superbike rider, Nathan Blackmore.

Nathan Blackmore's brother is none other than Alexandar James (Jabby) Blackmore, CEO, Alpha-Male, Ex-Military. The oldest son of three boys and a stepsister. The Blackmore brothers had their share of hell on earth dealing with an overbearing, controlling stepfather.

"A person's strength isn't shown by how much they can take before they break. A person's strength is shown by how much they can take after they have already been broken." X

As a first time author, AS Roberts has included every emotion in her first book, happiness, sadness, silliness, envious, elation, and let's not forget about the sex.

Unassuming relatable steeps into your heart, soul and mind. A must read by a new talented author.

its taken me a few days to find the words to really explain my rating for this book in the best way, without the waffle. I decided to give up and just go for it...
As a debut novel I was pleasantly surprised by this book. As soon as I read the synopsis I couldn't wait to get started...who doesn't love a lead male that promises as much as Alex!
The first few chapters had me riveted, I was glued to my kindle. Every single one of the characters are likable and you really feel like you get to know them. The storyline draws you in, there's just enough suspense to keep you flicking those pages without it being drawn out and tedious.
But for me there just wasn't enough bite. I didn't really get the situation with the other brother, Scott either. It kind of felt like it was there to cause a situation and then it just fizzled.
I can completely understand where all the 4 and 5 star reviews are coming from. It is a well written piece of work with a story line that, for those of you who love a dominant billionaire romance, will love. I just think for me personally I was expecting something more.

Fated written by AS Roberts
4 stars

Frankie had been through so much heartache in her young 24 years. When she is offered a new beginning in the states for a temporary job she decided to leave England and her safety net of her aunt and uncle. Her best friend Bella would be in New York as well and she knew it was exactly what she needed to get sorted out.

Alex Blackmore CEO of Blackmore industries
hired Frankie to be his brother Nathan's personal physiotherapist. Frankie aka chocolate drop and Nathan hit it off immediately and become great friends. Frankie and Nathan find they have so much in common with not meeting their mothers expectations. It has been a long time since she was so relaxed being around and talking with a guy.

Alex had a secret he was keeping from his employee Frankie. He had to put everything in place and make her comfortable before he shared it with her. He wasn't sure if Frankie would ever forgive him, but he knew his time to come clean was inevitable.

“I won’t lie to her. I would never lie to her. I just won’t tell her everything, at this juncture in time. Yeah... let’s call it a need to know, basis.”

Alex gave off the air of being totally at peace with himself, he presented a good poker face to the world. It’s probably why his family business was so successful, he was the master of letting no one in.

Frankie learned about the Blackmore family and how powerful they were from Bella's investigation and research she had done. Frankie realized just how out of her league she was with Alex and Nathan yet she felt so drawn to him. Frankie is overwhelmed with what the Blackmore family lifestyle opens her up to. She knew Alex had a secret yet she did, too. Would their secrets finally bring them peace or bring on more disappointment, pain and heartache? Will Frankie be able to understand why Alex held back his knowledge and be able to see past the deceit or is she Fated for more heartache?

‘Family is supposed to be where we find the most support and comfort; more often it’s where we find our biggest heartaches.’

Fated
By A.S. Roberts
5 Star Review

Fated by A.S. Roberts is an intriguing book to read. It was an amazingly well written story that had a few surprising twists in the romance department. It kept me guessing of who was ending up together and which man should the main character Frankie end up with.

The story introduced you to the character Frankie; she has had tragedies in life that made her grow up quickly. Because of her Aunt and Uncle and her best friend/cousin, James, she still is very naïve. She becomes a British physiotherapist in part due to her close relationship to her cousin. She is offered a job of a lifetime, moving across the pond to New York City. Her new patient is Superbike rider, Nathan Blackmore, who is gorgeous, flirtatious, and reminds her of cousin.

Frankie is hired by Nathan’s brother James Blackmore, who has a connection to Frankie that she is unaware of. She does not meet him in person but communicates with him through text messages. The messages become more and more casual with some underlining flirting. Frankie becomes increasingly curious about the man who hired her to “torture” his brother to get him ready for his return to racing.

James Blackmore is in love with Frankie, but he doesn’t think he deserves her, so he watches from afar. When circumstances occur and he is revealed as her employer, Frankie is shocked when she discovers the connection that he has to her and her family. She is not happy that he manipulated her into accepting a job from him. But she also can’t ignore the pull she feels towards him.

The other important person in Frankie’s life is her best friend, Bella. She is funny loving, enjoys going out, and also makes Frankie relax and have a good time. But she is also the one that makes Frankie be honest with herself about her feelings about James and his connection to her family.

Frankie has to decide whether to take a chance on love. I really enjoyed the all the characters. The characters have flaws and the author does a very good job showing the flaws. The author also does a very good job of showing the characters working through their flaws.

Excellent story and I cannot wait to read more from this author.

**I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review**

This was an outstanding debut novel by author A S Roberts. This author is definitely one to add to your TBR list, and I will definitely be looking out for all future work.

From the first word I was hooked, and couldn't put it down. Our main characters are Alex and Frankie; Alex is our typical hot alpha male, and Frankie is a naive beautiful young women, with a less than traditional past. To avoid spoilers I won’t go into the story as there are so many things that could give away the plot. I will say that they have an instant attraction and that their relationship brings with it some hot and steamy sex scenes that will get you hot under the collar!

The supporting characters in this story are fantastic; Nathan and Bella definitely have a connection and I can see another amazing book from their story.

This is a beautifully written book; it will have you feeling so many emotions, grief, love, loss and heartache. I laughed and cried and on occasion wanted to climb into my kindle to shake a few characters and hug others. This is definitely a book not to be ignored.

Fated is the debut novel by Author A. S. Roberts.

"A person's strength isn't shown by how much they can take before they break. A person's strength is shown by how much they can take after they have already broken."

Frankie has known loss and disappointment in her life. But she finally has the opportunity to shine and help others. Her latest job has brought her back to the States, and her life will be forever changed. She will be the physiotherapist for Nathan Blackmore, and her work with him will lead to her dreams being fulfilled.

Told in dual points of view, the premise of the storyline in Fated held my interest most of the time. However, the execution of it had me re-reading passages as I had a perpetual feeling that I was missing something. Despite that, I had to know the ending of this story as the characters were very easy to attach to and become invested in. I also became very interested in getting more of the story of Bella and Nate, two secondary characters introduced in this story. I will follow this author as her writing career progresses, and look for the next book in this series.

This is the debut novel by author A S Roberts, and what an amazing way to introduce yourself to the literary world.

This book will definitely pull at the heart strings right from the start. The main characters in the book are Alex and Frankie (Francesca). It is clear very early on that there is a connection between these two, the author builds up to their first meet, and the suspense was killing me, but when they meet, boy was it explosive!

Alex is a man in control, he is methodical in everything he does, and has a plan, but as we all know the best laid plans…

Frankie is a level headed young lady with plenty of morals; she is strong and will do what is right even if it breaks her heart.

This book has everything, a great storyline, fantastic characters - both main and supporting, twists and turns and some off the charts hot and steamy sex scenes.

Overall this is a beautiful story I felt really connected to the characters and felt every emotion with them. This author has definitely put her mark on the book world and I can’t wait to see what comes next.

FATED is A.S. Roberts debut novel but don’t let the word ‘debut’ fool you. She did a fantastic job in telling Alex and Frankie’s story. Ms. Roberts wonderfully weaved all of her characters in a seamless manner which I absolutely enjoyed. She gave her secondary characters enough depth to leave you wanting more without trampling the main characters. Alex her male protagonist is a charming, mysterious and a sexy boss who is hiding secrets from Frankie. But will these secrets keep them apart? Or will they help cement their fate? The story wonderful blossoms throughout revealing more and more. A.S. Roberts certainly knows how to put surprising twists into her wonderful novel. And what I loved the most was that it gave me all the feels without completely overwhelming the senses. I got to laugh out loud, get teary-eyed, scream and everything in between. While this book is a standalone, A.S. Roberts manage to set up her next book which I cannot wait to read.

When Frankie decides to accept a new job which will enable her to also get to see her best friend Bella again we are taken on a journey not only across continents, but from grief to acceptance of the past. An extremely well written debut novel from AS Roberts, I connected very quickly with the main characters Frankie and Alex and also the secondary characters Nathan and Bella who have their own story to tell (which I can't wait to read more of). I laughed and cried and basically couldn't put the book down until I'd finished it!! some steamy sex scenes which certainly had me pressing my thighs together on more than one occasion but in the context of the story and tastefully done. a fantastic debut can't wait for more from this author.

Fated is the first book in the Fated Series by A.S Roberts.
Francesca Jones (Frankie) comes from a small seaside town in England and has just flown to New York City as part of her new job requirement. She is a Physiotherapist and has been headhunted specially for this job- the offer was too good to pass up. The wage is incredibly generous and the position comes with a lot of other incentives such as flights, accommodation and lots of free time to do as she pleases. An added benefit to the job is that her best friend Bella happens to be living in New York- as a journalist for The New York Times. She can’t wait to be reunited with Bella, as it’s been too long since they last saw each other. Then there’s the added incentive of being able to get away from painful memories and let go of some emotional baggage that has been holding her back for far too long now. The last thing Frankie expected was coming face to face with her erotic dream and getting a very powerful reminder of the past.
Alex Blackmore has had responsibility thrust on him from a very young age. It’s not something he enjoys, but he is very good at what he does. As CEO of Blackmore industries he is used to calling the shots and making things happen. He is a master of control. So when Frankie walks back into his life, he is powerless to resist- his dominant tendencies and need for control are going to be pushed beyond his limits. He is determined to make her his, but will she be willing to hear anything he has to say? They both have a lot of guilt, pain and are tortured by the past- can they find a way to let go of their burdens and welcome their future? As Frankie’s job is only for a few months, will she stay in New York or return home? With secrets that are yet to be revealed, what happens when they finally come to light?
This is the first book by Ms. Roberts that I have read and I loved it… I am led to believe that this is her debut novel and I am really impressed by how polished and highly professional this story is. This is truly a stellar debut; I can only imagine how incredible the rest of the series is going to be. Ms. Roberts is definitely an author to watch for in the future!
The characters are so wonderful; they are quirky, individual and very endearing in all their flawed glory. I loved Frankie- she is smart, funny, strong, kind, caring, a little naive and quite vulnerable. She really had a low self-opinion, which is understandable considering her past- I wanted to give her a great big hug and tell her how lovely she really is. Alex is sex-on-legs- tall, dark and handsome, with a panty dropping grin….. and I want him! I realised that I have A LOT of book boyfriends now - so as of today, I have started a Harem for them all and have added Alex to it. He really is swoony, flaws and all. The chemistry between Frankie and Alex is really sexy and sensual- their bedroom scenes are electrifyingly erotic. Bella, Nathan and Edwards are fantastic. They brought wit, funny banter and lots of interest to the storyline. I really would like to find out more about them all.
I am positive that this is only the beginning of my love affair with Ms. Roberts’ work and I can’t wait to read everything she writes, especially the next book in this series!

Thank you Ms. Roberts!

FATED
By: A.S. Roberts
5 out of 5 stars

The story FATED by A.S. Roberts is a contemporary romance book. Fated is the first book in a series and the first book that I have read by the author. I am positive it will not be the last. This story is a wonderful example of the reasons that I love romance books. It has a storyline that is addictive, I wasn’t able to put the book down for long. Then there are the characters. You have Frankie Jones, a British physiotherapist, who has taken a job to help her move on with her life. It has her coming to the US and assisting the brother of CEO Alex Blackmore. The story just keeps getting better from there. I really like Frankie’s character. She is still grieving over the loss of a family member however still takes the offered job. She has her best friend Bella, who she is very close to. They are always there for one another. Words are not always needed in this friendship, sometimes just being there for each other is enough. I also love that Frankie is willing to take a chance in finding love. She puts her whole heart and soul into her relationship.

Alex Blackmore is the CEO of a very large company and is used to being in charge, both at work and then in his relationship with Frankie. He is a man the takes his responsibilities very seriously. He feels responsible for his siblings and always makes sure that they are well provided for and get the assistance that they need. He is not always forthcoming about different situations that he is dealing with and this leads to misunderstandings. Will this lead to the end of their relationship? The end of this book came far too quickly for me. I found myself wishing the story was longer. It is a perfect read to get lost in for the afternoon. Let me also say that the romance is hot and steamy. It will have you fanning yourself as you read. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series. I would recommend this book for those 18 years of older for adult language and situations.

This is my first read by Ms. Roberts and it was great from the get go, loved the style of writing and the characters this is such an awesome captivating read I can’t wait to get my teeth into this authors next works. This story filled me with so many emotions. I laughed out loud, cried, fell in love, had my heart broken, was frustrated along with the characters and I also felt their joy.

Her latest job has brought her back to the States, where she decides letting go of her grief and moving on is exactly what the doctor ordered and her life will be forever changed. She comes face to face with a sexy and irresistible blast from her past; she realizes that this time she just can't walk away.

Alex Blackmore is an assertive and controlling CEO, who is shackled to obligations the obligations he didn't necessarily want. But now that Frankie is back in his life, he knows exactly what he does want and will have her. As their relationship intensifies, Alex's worlds collide and their past resurfaces, threatening to destroy what they're both working toward letting go and moving on.
Can Frankie and Alex fight their demons and embrace the future they're FATED for?

I instantly connected with Frankie, and Alex they were strong independent characters that you can’t help but love. The supporting characters of Bella and Nathan rounded out the story perfectly. There is a small glimpse into Bella and Nathan's lives that will make you want more of their story. Lucky for us, they will be getting their own book coming soon.

Fated is the first book in the Fated Series by A.S. Roberts and what a story! I was hooked from the very first page! I literally couldn’t turn the pages quick enough! I can’t put my finger on what exactly drew me in with the story but I just absolutely LOVED it!! I loved the plot, I loved the characters (especially Alex and maybe Nathan – yes definitely Nathan too!!), it was excellently written and the scenes between Alex and Frankie were HOT!!!!
Frankie is offered the job of her dreams in NYC! The last thing she expects is to come face to face with a sexy and irresistible blast from the past – this sexy man has also been the star of her dreams for many years!
CEO, Alex Blackmore, is assertive and controlling and he finds himself shackled to obligations that he never even wanted! There is only one thing he has ever wanted and that is Frankie! And now that she is back in his life he knows exactly what he wants!
I loved Frankie! Clearly having suffered a lot of grief in her life she totally deserved for someone to take care of her, even if she is fairly independent even though she is slightly naïve. I loved the relationship with Bella her best friend! The reaction when she first realised just who Alex actually was really got me and I knew I was just going to love them as a couple!
Alex was just WOW! I mean who wouldn’t want him to step in and look after you! He had loved Frankie for so long and some of things that he did just made my heart melt!
Nathan was another great character in the story, along with Bella. I really look forward to reading his story next!
I admit there were a few predictable parts to the story but I still loved it nonetheless and the twists and turns just made it even better! There are some pretty hot and steamy moments between Frank and Alex so this book is definitely for mature readers only! The author has done an amazing job with this story and I definitely can’t wait to read more of their work! I absolutely LOVED this story and I highly recommend it!

This is a debut novel? Seriously?! Roberts is an exceptional writer! The plot is strong and the mystery keeps you hanging on till the very end. Everyone seems to have secrets and none of them are obvious. I LOVE not being able to figure a book out till the author slaps you in the face with it.

Frankie is having the chance of a lifetime at her dream job. Until her past literally sneaks up on her and makes things a little, okay - A LOT, complicated! She's blindsided and hurt, her past is crossing over into her future and she doesn't know what to make of it. He wasn't ready for her to be in his life just yet.

"I will always find my way back to you, baby, always....."

The sexy times are delicious! Dominant alpha males can throw down in the bedroom. That four poster bed will never be the same!

Nate and Bella are two of the best side characters, I guess you can call them that, they are at the front of the story a lot. They have their own set of problems, it was almost like reading two different love stories at once with all the problems the two couples have. Nate being brothers with Frankie's love interest was what brought them all together in the first place, it was certainly entertaining.

"Life is short my love, if we remembered all the time that we could lose someone at any moment, we would love more strongly and without inhibition, without fear of the what ifs."

Aside from the funny and the sexy there are some emotional feelings to work through. Loss, forgiveness, and trust must be faced and accepted before their relationships can work.

Now, I must know Bella's secret and I need more from Nate!

FATED (Fated #1)
AUTHOR: A.S. ROBERTS

FIVE STARS

When I read that A. S. Roberts was “a chocolate addict, children loving, mad woman”, I knew we shared a kindred spirit. I was so excited to jump in and see how she infuses her personality and fun spirit into her writing. Magnificent! Brilliant writing, and I was drawn in from the very first page. Her characters were extraordinary and so full of personality that they became a part of your world. FATED is the first book in A. S. Robert’s phenomenal FATED SERIES. You will fall in love with this series and quickly add A. S. Robert’s to your “TO BE READ” LIST. She is just that good!

Frankie Jones is a spunky, young lady who was raised by her aunt and uncle because her mother was not emotionally, or physically, available. Frankie was extremely close to her cousin James growing up and they were actually more like brother and sister. Frankie knew loss and hardship, but she was determined, and smart, and she succeeded in becoming a British physiotherapist. When she is offered her dream job, she jumps at the chance and moves to New York City to take care of Nathan Blackmore. As a bonus, she gets to see her best friend Miss Bella.

Alexander Blackmore is Nathan’s older brother and he is sexy, highly successful, powerful, hot, gorgeous, and did I say “HOT”!! The passion and sparks that fly between Alex and Frankie are explosive. The emotion and the rollercoaster of ups and downs will keep you on the edge of your seat.

I’m stopping here and letting you find out the rest of the story, but I can’t wait for book 2.

Fated by A.S. Roberts is a story of love at first sight, possibilities, demons, secrets and redemption. It is the first book of a series by this new English author. I found her writing to be both sweet and sassy and yet pretty steamy and so romantic as well. . I did have to look up a few terms because it IS written in British English but found some that I will probably continue to use in my everyday life because they seem to be lovelier than the English versions.

The story revolves around British physiotherapist, Frankie Jones. While life with her mother is off the rails, she has had some stability with her aunt, uncle and cousin JJ. Life is not always easy and she must learn to release the past in order to move forward with her life. She is offered the job of a lifetime in New York City and decides that this is a great way to finally let go of her grief and get some great experiences in her life. While she has been in previous relationships, a man from her past has taken up residence in her mind although she is sure she will never see him again.

Alex Blackmore hires Frankie to help his brother rehab. He is assertive, controlling and completely hot. He is also tied to obligations that he never asked for, never wanted and badly would love to leave behind. But he must do what he must do to protect his siblings and his family. When he and Frankie meet, sparks fly. Alex’s worlds collide and threaten to destroy everything he holds dear. Some secrets must be kept, but keeping those will cost him a love that he has wanted for many years. Can they get past their demons and have a future? Is that future worth fighting for?

Fated by A.S. Roberts is a story about fate, can it be changed or does it have all the control? This story is happiness, sadness and romance. You will love how the author has created character that pop right off the page and into your heart. The author has created characters that you are able to relate to, she brings them to life. This story will take you on a roller coaster of emotions that you won't want to miss. Find out what happens with these characters!

Frankie Jones is a woman who has been offered a job of a lifetime. It will also give her the opportunity to move past her grief and just plain move on. What will happen when she comes face to face with a sexy, handsome man from her past. What will happen when they realize that they have met before? She has walked away in the past, will she be able to walk away this time? Will her past memories come back and haunt her?

Alex Blackmore is a man who is a CEO who is shackled with obligations, obligations he didn't really want. Now that she seems to be back in his life, he knows exactly what he wants, her! What will happen when his world collides with things from the past? What happens when he has had enough and things that are beyond his control come to a head? Will he be able to keep her without breaking her?

Frankie and Alex's relationship is one that is full of the past. Their characters flow together along with a few twists and turns that you won't see coming. You will love how the author has created a strong connection to each other. Will the past destroy everything they have been working on? When secrets are revealed will there be forgiveness? Will they both lose? When is enough, enough? Will they be able to fight their demons and take on the future they have been fated for? Find out what fate has in store for them!

This is my first story by A.S. Roberts and I know it will not be the last. I love how she created a story that keep you on the edge of your seat in parts and almost crying in others. A.S resides in south-east England and is married to the love of her life, they have four boys and lots of dogs. When she is not reading or writing, you can find her drinking enormous amount of tea and wine. She has created a page turner that you will lose yourself in and also lose track of time. You will need to see what happens to this couple. I highly suggest this story as I know you will love to read every page as much as I have.

Fated by A S Roberts is book one in the Fated series.

Frankie Jones has just had a lucky break when she is offered a once in a life time opportunity leaving England to go to America to be a physiotherapist to a rich motorcyclist. Now was the time for her to put the grief behind and move on with life and live a little. That is until she walks back into the life of someone she was hoping to forget but who is still very much a part of her dreams. But is it worth the painful memories that come with this godlike man?

Alex Blackmore, is a CEO to a company he wants nothing to do with but feels he can’t leave as he will let others down, but now he has Frankie back in his life he can finally breath again, and he know what he wants and he is willing to finally get it and the peace that she brings with her. As their relationship grows so with it the doubt and secrets!

Were these two always fated to be together? With their pass connections break them? Can they both let go and move on? Were they ever meant to be?

A S Roberts has blown me away, from the first page there was so much anguish and hurt, that turned into something beautiful, it made this a refreshing read. Frankie was an easy read character with her heart on her sleeve, she had humour but so much passion and love. Alex was complex and had so many layers to him it was nice to see them peel back and find he was under all that muscle and god-like features a man who loved a woman. I felt this book could have continued into another and another, I was sad when it came to an end. Worth the five stars, can’t wait to read the next in the series. Think she might be an author to watch!

Book Review: Fated
Author: A.S. Roberts
FIVE STARS
In the book Fated, A.S. Roberts introduces us to Alex and Frankie. These two main characters have more in common than Frankie realizes. Alex has been watching out for Frankie for quite some time. This book is not suggested for anyone under the age of 18 as it does contain many page of sexual content and adult situations.
Frankie is offered a Physio job in New York and has accepted the job. This means she gets to see her best friend Bella for the first time in a long time. Nathan is a motorbike racer and has wrecked his leg pretty bad.
This book is full Alpha males and the women who fall in love with them. Alex is a control freak but he is more about protecting and caring for the woman he loves than he is about punishment and pain.
A.S. Roberts has taken us on a trip through a love story that has a few twists. The first half of the book we follow along not knowing who the employer is and once we find out we are just as shocked as Frankie. Who knew the past would come and become the present and the present could be her future. Or could it? Will the other shoe drop and Frankie realize what a cad Alex truly is?
A.S. Roberts really draws you in and makes you feel the love and passion and the heartache and sadness. I was angry in places and elated in others. I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did.

Fated by A.S Roberts has us following a Frankie Jones as she leaves her home and grief behind to move to New York for a while to work and to spend time with her bestie Bella. Hired to be a physiotherapist for a young, hot, sexy, superbike rider Nathan, Franken is in for the experience of her life.

Frankie has been put up in a beautiful apartment that Bella and her love, she is very well paid and has a driver to take her anywhere she wants to go. Frankie also has a boss that seems controlling and detailed oriented. He wants Frankie to have everything she needs…. little does she realize he wants her to need and want him also.

Alex Blackmore, rich, powerful, sexy as hell and has family problems that makes his falling for Frankie at this time near impossible. He tries so hard to keep them both separate but this is not the case and when both worlds collide someone gets hurt.

Between Alex and Frankie, Nathan and Bella this story is full of love, sex, fun time and family drama. A good read overall.

Fated is an instant sexy hot read. This book is a must read due to sexy steamy moments, laughter, and deep thoughts between the characters. When I read what it was about, I could not wait to start reading it. The cover instantly drew me in and I knew the book was going to be a hot read.
Frankie is a British therapist that decides to make a move of the lifetime to new York city. Not only is she moving to take a job that she couldn't pass up but she is going to live with her best friend.
Her patient that she decides to work with is the brother of a very powerful alpha male, alex. Alex is intense alpha male that you want to reach in the book and eat up. The sexy scenes were good as well.
Alex and Frankie have a lot of baggage, of course. They have a lot of secrets and demons that they must work out. Instead of doing it along, they become an item. They have an instant connection that is one that makes you keep turning the pages.
Like all romance novels, the main characters need to figure out a life lesson. Will they get together because they are fated To? Will they use this experience as fate has decided for them?
The book fate was a page turner. I read in one day and could not put down. The author does a very good job getting you involved in the story and with the characters. The characters are dynamic and intense. The story makes you laugh, cry. Awesome read.
