Bacugno per il Patrimonio Immateriale UNESCO

Ciao, mi chiamo Claudio Sagliocco e sto portando avanti con un team di giovani professionisti un documentario sulla festa di santa Maria della Neve di Bacugno.

Si tratta di una festa molto antica con origini pagane che il cristianesimo ha ereditato e parzialmente modificato. Da secoli o forse millenni la piccola comunità di Bacugno (un paese di 96 abitanti in provincia di Rieti) porta avanti con passione e devozione il rito, insegnando di generazione in generazione molti saperi manuali e orali, che costituiscono un patrimonio immateriale fragile che potrebbe scomparire con il progressivo abbandono dei paesi, che va quindi salvaguardato.

Il documentario ha lo scopo di promuovere la festa e di farla conoscere anche oltre la provincia e di documentare e studiare questo rito così unico, per contribuire alla candidatura in corso della festa di santa Maria della Neve di Bacugno e del rito del toro ossequioso alla lista dell'UNESCO per il Patrimonio Immateriale.

Chi sono i membri del team?

Claudio Sagliocco (27 anni) : storico dell'arte, è dottorando di ricerca presso la Sapienza di Roma. Ha curato mostre ed eventi culturali, scrive articoli e si occupa di divulgazione artistica. Ha fondato l'associazione culturale L'Amletico ed è redattore della rivista Storia dell'Arte.

Gianni Nunno (25 anni) : ha conseguito un Master in gestione dei beni culturali presso la Bocconi di Milano. Ha più di dieci anni di esperienza nel montaggio di video oltre a varie esperienze lavorative presso le più grandi istituzioni museali come i Musei Vaticani e il Museo del Louvre.

Daniele de Luca (29 anni) : ha studiato design industriale e storia dell'arte. Ha lavorato come assistente del noto artista Pietro Ruffo per il qual ha realizzato tre collezioni di alta moda e una pret a porter per Dior. Lavora come illustratore e artista autonomo e ha esposto in diverse gallerie tra Roma e Torino.

Walter Laureti (26 anni) : è un musicista e sound designer. Diplomato in musica elettronica, si è formato in Italia e in Norvegia. Ha fondato "Catalea", un collettivo artistico che mescola i suoni tradizionali italiani con paesaggi sonori moderni.

Il documentario è totalmente indipendente e prodotto senza il supporto di sponsor o finanziamenti pubblici e privati.

Una tua donazione contribuirà a promuovere e tutelare la salvaguardia di questo patrimonio immateriale e a portare a termine il documentario, permettendoci di coprire le spese alle quali stiamo andando incontro.

Il primo obiettivo è quello di raggiungere la cifra di 5000 euro per terminare il documentario entro l'estate, in modo da proiettarlo per promuovere la festa che si terrà i primi giorni di agosto del 2023.

Seguirà una seconda campagna di autofinanziamento per la promozione del documentario e della festa anche all'estero.

Hello, my name is Claudio Sagliocco and with a team of young professionals we are creating a documentary on the tradition of "Santa Maria della Neve" in Bacugno.

It is a very ancient festival with pagan origins that the Roman Catholic Church has inherited and partially modified. For centuries, or perhaps millennia, the small community of Bacugno (a town of 96 inhabitants in the province of Rieti) has carried on the ritual with passion and devotion, teaching from generation to generation many manual and oral skills, which constitute a fragile intangible heritage that could disappear with the progressive abandonment of the villages, and which must therefore be safeguarded.

The purpose of the documentary is to promote the festival and make it known beyond the province and to document and study this unique ritual, in order to contribute to the ongoing candidature of the festival of "Santa Maria della Neve" of Bacugno along with the ritual of the kneeling bull to the UNESCO list of Intangible Heritage.

Who are the team members?

Claudio Sagliocco (27): Art historian, PhD student at the Sapienza University of Rome. He has curated exhibitions and cultural events, writes articles and is deeply involved in the awareness and promotion of the arts. He founded the cultural association L'Amletico and is editor of the magazine Storia dell'Arte.

Gianni Nunno (25): He holds a Master's degree in cultural management from Bocconi University in Milan. He has more than ten years of experience in video editing as well as various work experiences at major museum institutions such as the Vatican Museums and the Louvre Museum.

Daniele de Luca (29): He studied industrial design and art history. He worked as assistant to the well-known artist Pietro Ruffo for whom he created three haute couture collections and one prêt-à-porter for Dior. He works as an illustrator and freelance artist and has exhibited in several galleries between Rome and Turin.

Walter Laureti (26) : He is a musician and sound designer. With a diploma in electronic music, he trained in Italy and Norway. He founded 'Catalea', an artistic collective that mixes traditional Italian sounds with modern soundscapes.

How can you help us?

The documentary is totally independent. Your donation will help to promote and protect the preservation of this intangible heritage and to complete the documentary, enabling us to cover the various production expenses we are incurring to make it a reality (equipment, video editing, software, musicians, transport, etc.). The first goal is to reach the sum of 5000 euros to finish the documentary by the summer, so that it can be screened to promote the festival to be held in early August 2023. This will be followed by a second self-funding campaign to promote the documentary and the festival abroad.
