Mix and match camp programs, sign up for as many different camps and weeks as you wish. Different experiences are provided on a weekly/bi-weekly basis to ensure your child has the opportunity to experience everything Camp JCC has to offer!

 

Spend your week(s) exploring your favorite interests and discovering new hobbies with our new & improved camp model! Whether your camper chooses a Specialty Camp or Traditional Camp, everyone will attend Camp JCC from 8:00-3:00pm daily! 

 

Camp is available on a flexible, week-by-week basis June 10 - August 16, 2024 (10 weeks total). Drop-off begins at 8:00am. All campers should arrive by 8:45am! Pick up begins at 3:00pm. All campers must be picked up by 3:30pm! 

 

*A $25 deposit per camp session is required at the time of registration. The remaining balance is due one week prior to your camper's arrival at The Shaw JCC of Akron's Camp JCC.

Traditional Camp 

 

Weeks 1-10

Weekly Cost: $265 Member / $365 Non-Member

Arts and crafts, swimming, free choice, structured themed activities and physical education will take place throughout the day! Campers will be in small groups, interacting with their peers and counselors. The entirety of the day will be spent outside on campus! Come explore, learn and have a blast with us this summer at Camp JCC! 

Pre-Teen Camp Track

 

Weeks 1-10 

June 10-August 16  I Students Entering Grades: 6-8

Weekly Cost: $265 Member / $365 Non-Member

Separate from the 1st-5th grade Traditional Campers, students in grades 6th-8th will take on Camp JCC through a different lens — complete with team building activities, service learning projects, and even STEM challenges! Learn the value of being a leader, working as part of a team, and having a blast with counselors and peers! Time for physical activity, exploration, and extended swim time are just a few of the perks to our “pre-teen camp track.” We can’t wait to welcome our future leaders to Camp JCC!

Specialty Camps

 

Weeks 1-10 

June 10-August 16  I Prices & Ages Vary

 

All campers (traditional and specialty) participate in morning activities together, including morning snack, daily swimming, and activities with their peers. After lunch, those in specialty camps will go with their small groups to spend the afternoon participating in their specialty camp activities. Specialty camp programming runs Monday-Thursday, but prices include the whole week, including Friday Fun Days!

You Belong at Camp JCC!


  • Morning (8:45-10:45am): Drop off and pick up will take place at the Camp Pavilion. Drop off begins at 8 am. All campers are expected to arrive before 8:45 am. Campers will have their morning snack, participate in daily swimming, and counselor-led activities with their peers during this time.
  • Lunch (10:45-11:30am): Parents may pack lunch for their camper or elect to purchase boxed lunches. Lunches must be kosher-style and nut-free.
  • Afternoon (11:30am-2:30pm): Your child will attend their designated Specialty Camp or Traditional campers will engage in themed hands-on creative arts and physical education activities!
  • Dismissal (3:00-3:30pm): Children will enjoy a snack with their peers while awaiting departure. Pick up from the Camp Pavilion begins at 3 pm and all campers must be picked up by 3:30 pm. We are happy to offer aftercare options for busy or working parents who need a bit more flexibility.

 

Swimming at Camp

  • Stay cool in the pool! At Camp JCC, swimming is extra special. All lifeguards are American Red Cross certified. 
  • Traditional and Specialty Campers swim every morning in small groups starting at 8:45 a.m.
  • This time will be spent as Free Swim!
    • Swim tests will be administered if necessary, to ensure the safety of all campers.
    • If your child cannot swim, please alert Anthony Ange (Camp Director) ahead of time.
  • Please bring a bathing suit, towel and sunscreen daily! Goggles are optional. No pool toys!

Lunches & Snacks

  • We provide a Kosher-style, nut-free morning and afternoon snack each day.
  • If packing, please provide a kosher-style (non-meat) and nut-free lunch Monday-Thursday.
  • Free Friday Cookouts for all campers!
  • Daily Kosher lunch available for purchase at the time of registration! *If your child has any dietary restrictions, please alert Anthony Ange (Camp Director) ahead of time.
    • Camp JCC offers kosher-style, nut-free boxed lunches available for purchase M-Th. $30 per week for boxed lunches.
