Dave MacLeod, CEO of ThoughtExchange

Before his current role as CEO of ThoughtExchange, Dave also loved his career as an “old-school” facilitator and consultant. He worked closely with people of all different backgrounds and industries—from business executives to Indigenous leaders, not-for-profit managers, community members and students. His job was to bring them together through fair, inclusive and productive group discussions.

So back when his ThoughtExchange Co-founder Jim Firstbrook first approached him with the idea of accessing collective intelligence through technology, Dave was skeptical. At the time, he felt keeping group dialogue simple and in person was best.

Fast forward to the present. Dave now knows that when leaders are elevated by great technology they can reduce bias, raise all voices across their organizations, and make better, real-time elevated decisions.
