🚀 Investment Announcement!  🤝 We are proud to announce our investment in The Egyptian Fintech startup Fincart which specializes in streamlining shipping and financing for social sellers, small & medium-sized e-commerce brands, and marketplaces so they can seamlessly grow their businesses. Fincart was part of the KSA Misk Accelerator program Cohort 8, as well as the Egypt Smart Cities program in Cairo. With the funds from our investment, the startup will be able to enhance its technology and expand its market reach throughout the Middle East and in the kingdom. We're excited to see the impact that Fincart will continue to create within the fintech sector, and we look forward to further supporting them in their mission.

We are all very committed to support the national agenda for VC structural reform 🤓🚀 Sounds fancy, but that’s the bottom line. I am honored to have been invited by the Venture Capital Structural Reform (VCSR) Group in collaboration with the Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE) and Thebes Consultancy to join the Steering Committee on Venture Capital Structural Reforms. While I may be new to the realm of 'structural' and policy reforms, I have gained a profound understanding of the influential role of networks and the significant contributions that startup and scale-up founders make at a macro level. During our discussions, I learned about the impactful programs being implemented by VCSR, building upon years of efforts in VC funding, fostering entrepreneurial growth, and creating a conducive business environment. I highlighted the importance of a robust investment pipeline, successful exit stories, and strategic consolidation to attract more VCs and elevate their presence in Egypt. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to Seif Allah El Khawanky and Farida Yehia for their trust in me and for always showing up when needed, and I want to express special thanks to Senator Sameh El-Sadat and Dr. Ziad Bahaa-Eldin for their pivotal contributions as catalysts and role models in our VC and startup ecosystems. Growing up in a Bosnian-Herzegovinian refugee family in Denmark, I have always been deeply grateful for the myriad opportunities that have come my way.
