Lunar Falls #3

Redemption of Lunar Falls

Rate this book
Carly Tipton's life has been turned upside down since she moved to Lunar Falls. She came looking to start a new life for herself, but nothing prepared her for the adventure that awaited her in the mysterious little town. A place where werewolves not only walk among the humans, hidden in plain sight, but where the roots of her own family tree are deeply entwined with the noble creatures. And when she and her mate, Gabe, are declared the answer to an ancient Moon Hunter prophecy, Carly finds herself wondering if the secrets and lies of Lunar Falls will ever end.

Gabe Masters is an Alpha on a mission – to re-educate his people in the ancient ways of the imprinting and abolish the purity movement, all while getting the five packs to accept his new human mate as one of their own. Easy, right? Until shifting alliances and a small faction of wolves join forces with the cat shifters in a last-ditch effort to overthrow Gabe's authority before his and Carly's wedding. A vicious battle ensues as Gabe leads his men (and women) against the rebellion. But can he defeat them in time to keep Carly safe?

Redemption of Lunar Falls is the third and final book of an adult sexy shifter romance trilogy.

What a great way to finish off this series. like the previous installments I was hooked from page one. The plot twists were a nice surprise and the character developments and forgiveness was wonderfully written and added a lot of closure to the story.

Third in this trilogy, Redemption of Lunar Falls wound up the series nicely, and although it started out a bit slow, it ended up being a really good read. If you plan on reading this series, you probably should be aware that there will be spoilers in this review.

Things in Lunar Falls really came to a head in the last installment, Lies of Lunar Falls. But then in a town like Lunar Falls, where a good portion of the population are wolf shifters called Moon Hunters, things do tend to come to a head. That’s because people are dying at the hands of big cat shifters called, Katjie. The Katjie are not from the area, and have no reason to be anywhere near the wolves territory. It can only mean they have an agenda. It’s up to the sheriff of the town, Gabe, and his men, to literally sniff them out and find out what they want. Gabe is also the Grand Master of the five packs of Ohio. Carly is Gabe’s wife and new veterinarian in town. She is pregnant and planning both her bonding to Gabe ceremony and her human wedding-to appease her non-Moon Hunter family and friends.

The main characters in this trilogy have always been Carly and Gabe. The reader has watched them bond and fall in love, move in together, and now they are going to be parents. On top of all that, Carly has found out that not only is she a quarter Moon Hunter, but that she is starting to display Moon Hunter abilities. They have also realized that they are part of an old prophecy that they are the couple that would change the course of the Moon Hunters lives for the better. Some of the Moon Hunters are very skeptical of that, and are willing to fight against them.

Throughout these books, the theme of arranged marriage between wolves to keep the purity of the race, versus bonding with a true mate, regardless of the heritage of each, has been an ongoing struggle for the Moon Hunters. Since Carly is not a full blooded Moon Hunter, by the rules in place, Gabe shouldn’t be able to bond with her. Carly and Gabe have made it their mission to change the rules.

These books have featured not only a good romance, but also pack politics, violence, and sometimes heartbreaking re-tellings of what happens when a Moon Hunter has bonded with someone that is not their true mate. There are lots of couples to root for, and some that it’s too late for. I found the characters to be all well realized by the author, and ended up caring about a good many of them. I have completely enjoyed these reads as they were well written and had a unique premise. I would highly recommend this trilogy to all adult paranormal romance readers that want more than just a romantic(and pretty sexy)story.(RabidReads.com)

APB Perspective Review :

These books are so good , I thoroughly enjoyed reading them . This author puts a fresh spin on the Werewolf tale but it's not what you think. I first thought there would be a problem between the white Alpha and his black mate but that's not the case is these books . The dilemma is about being mixed or full blood ware , it's about fighting for what you know is right even when others try to make you do something wrong. It's about a love so sweet a passionate that you won't be able to wait for their next time together, it's also shows you that sometimes if you don't do it right the first time , do it right with your next opportunity. I highly recommend this series and I know what I'm going to do , I'm going to look for another book by this author and read it because I like her style.

Good Wrap Up!

This was a good wrap up to this series. While I wasn’t shocked by anything that happened just was still enjoyable to read. I just wish Carly hadn’t slept through the battle. I wanted to see her come into her own. The epilogue was a great ending to everything.

Redemption of Lunar Falls is the final book in the Lunar Falls trilogy and a very satisfying end to the series. This is the book where all the characters have been introduced, the plots exposed and the villains unmasked. It's also the one with most action because all those villains and plots have to be wrapped up into a nice neat bow. With the hero winning the day of course.

I have some serious respect for the author for keeping Carly Tipton from becoming a MarySue character. To really make the story work, Carly had to be a bone-deep, honestly good, kindhearted person. Too often though, these characters become caricatures or just plain boring. Carly managed to maintain an air of believe-ability about her that worked for me. Additionally, there was another female character, Becky Bodine, that could have easily chosen career over family, but the author resisted the temptation to take that cliched path. That restraint was refreshing. This was a very female positive series.

As this was the third and final book in the trilogy, we all knew where it was headed. I mean, it's a romance, so the Happily Ever After is a given; it's all about the final journey at this point. And the author did a fantastic job in getting us there. I especially liked the prologue of this book. It was like a promise to the reader that no matter how bad things would get, just remember, it had all worked out in the end.

To be honest, this was an interesting world, and I wouldn't mind seeing more of it. Maybe from a Katjie the next time, or someone from on of the other clans, or even something from the historical side of things. I am giving this book 4 stars.

Thanks to Ingenious Indie Promotions and the author for the opportunity to read and review the book.

Just finished the final book in the Lunar Falls series, and feeling sad that it's all over.

This book contained a few twists that surprised this veteran reader, so kudos to you Ms. Collins.

Most of the book is keying up for the big wedding for Gabe and Carly, it takes you on a ride that will make you cry, wring some necks, and wish that you could curl up to a wonderful wolf man too every night !

Carly and Gabe have been going through so much in the last few weeks , finding out about the baby , learning more about Carly's newly changing DNA. The bonding ceremony, the wedding. Carly's parents coming into town, so much on their already full plate. Now they have to worry about Katjie attacking, The media, the new mayor asking questions that can't be answered.

I love how much is going on in this book, and the author does a fantastic job keeping it all together. The characters are so much fun and I feel so attached to them, I'm truly sad to say goodbye, but all good things have to come to an end!

If you're looking for a good love story pick up this amazing 3 book set you won't be disappointed!

As the book blurb tells us this is the final book of the trilogy by superb author Lashell Collins. Ms Collins has a talent for writing fiction with thread of real life so skillfully entwined it is hard to even spot. Carly, Vet, continues her transformation and bond with Gabe, sheriff and Grand Alpha of all five Ohio Moon Hunter (werewolf) Packs. The prophecy is being fulfilled and they are changing the lives of the packs and their restrictive exclusionary ways--the lives and life choices of many are being acknowledged.

Amid this Carly is pregnant, having a revealing time with the pack, a wedding with her uninformed parents and the continuing battle with the cat shifters creating problems and killings. Can they mediate or will war ensue? Can Carly survive the stress? Will what the pack has successfully hidden in plain sight for hundreds of years be revealed to the humans of Lunar Falls? Her family? Loyalty of old friends and family will be tested. Can they pass the test?

It is a full length novel with page turning writing you will not want to put down. I give it not only 5 stars but a hearty recommend to anyone interested in good writing and engrossing stories, characters you care about long after the last page.

I was provided an ARC for an honest review.

The amazing Ms. Collins has done it again :D ... This talented author writes some of the best fiction I’ve ever read! ... Always engaging stories, well defined characters and attention to detail that pulls you right in! ... She may be a quiet, low-key person in real life, but she has a powerful voice with her quick wit and fascinating imagination as she spins her tales and keeps us guessing :o LOL ... Be ready for surprises, twists and turns, but don't be surprised if you're blushing from her hot and sexy love scenes ;) .... I was so fortunate to have been given an ARC in exchange for an honest review and I am NOT lying when I say she is in my top 10 favorite new Indie authors :D ... I highly recommend all 3 books in this fabulous trilogy, but I strongly suggest you read them in order to not miss out on a thing :D ... So add all 3 to your TBR list, or better yet, start one-clicking now :) ... You won't be sorry, I promise :D

This series has been a real treat to read. I loved the characters, I even loved the villains for the series because they were awesome villains. Just the right amount of evil with out being over the top, why hasn't anyone just killed them already crazy evil. LOL The romance was so hot between Caryl and Gabe. I love it when the characters actually get married rather then just claim each other. It makes it more really. Plus it's just sweet. Ms. Collins is a really good story teller. Her writing is energetic and just pulls you into the story. I'm sad to see the series end it's that good. I highly recommend this book and series.

What a great end to a fantastic tale. Ms. Collins has done an amazing job of bringing a different tale if shifters. She was able to keep the story on track and did an epilogue well worth the whole thing.

What happened

Sadly this series lost its momentum during the ending of the second book and never in my opinion regained its footing. Wait
