Kristen Mather de Andrade is a critically acclaimed clarinetist, vocalist, and producer whose music blends jazz, classical, and Brazilian influences into a genre-defying sound. Her aesthetic honors tradition while making intricate styles accessible, bridging the gap between esoteric music and public tastes. With three albums and two EPs, she continues to push creative boundaries.
Her upcoming album, Sem Fim, is a lush orchestral tribute to Brazil’s musical heritage, featuring pioneering female composers and a Grammy-winning all-female engineering team.
Outside of her solo career, Mather de Andrade is the principal clarinetist and soloist with the West Point Band. She has performed at the United Nations Headquarters for an audience of ambassadors, as well as for world leaders, including American presidents and the former Queen of Spain. Her performances span prestigious venues such as Carnegie Hall, The Kennedy Center, Avery Fisher Hall, and Severance Hall. She has also appeared at Musicians@Google in New York City and performed on the Ohio River’s concert barge, Point Counterpoint II, with the American Wind Symphony.
Beyond the stage, Mather de Andrade produces events and digital content for the West Point Band, with some of her projects airing on major national networks.
