Reported by PMOI/MEK
Iran, May 6, 2019 – Members of Resistance Units, a network associated closely to the Iranian opposition group People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK), has been escalating their activities across the country. These brave units are targeting the mullahs’ icons of crackdown and espionage, all involved in implementing a climate of fear throughout Iranian society.
In Tehran, members of Resistance Unit 596 set fire to a Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) Basij base.
Members of Resistance Unit 999, also in the country’s capital, set fire to a large poster of Iranian regime Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.
In East Azerbaijan Province, northwest Iran, members of Resistance Unit 159 set fire to and destroy a Khamenei poster.
In the city of Ardabil, also northwest Iran, members of Resistance Unit 520, were able to paint over a large poster of the IRGC Basij, sending a message to the regime’s units.
In Sistan & Baluchistan Province, southeast Iran, members of Resistance Unit 425 set fire to a poster near a Basij base affiliated to the terrorist-designated IRGC. In an unprecedented move, the U.S. State Department recently blacklisted the IRGC as a “Foreign Terrorist Organization” (FTO).
Members of Resistance Unit 206 in this province also set fire to a poster close to an IRGC Basij base, further indicating how the regime’s icons are easily targeted by these brave units.
