    Cultivating Curiosity Through Questioning

    Cultivating Curiosity Through Questioning

Questions come naturally to young children: Why is the sky blue? Where do butterflies go in winter? As they grow older, students need invitations to cultivate curiosity and teachers who are able to teach the skill of questioning.

The Question Formulation Technique builds this lifelong learning skill, teaching students how to ask their own questions. In this episode, we’re joined by Dan Rothstein, Luz Santana, and Sarah Westbrook from The Right Question Institute to discuss how the QFT works and what we can do to cultivate curiosity through questioning.

Wonderful podcast!

Congratulations on 100 episodes from a frequent listener and first time reviewer! This podcast, while perhaps oriented towards educators, is accessible and can really be for anyone. The discussion style makes it perfect for listening even on a busy commute, and sometimes you want to join in.

I enjoy listening to the discussions on this podcast, and it has also contributed to the way I think about my educational philosophy and the ways in which I teach.

Congratulations on 100 episodes, and may there be many more episodes!

Fantastic education podcast

The hosts are amazingly knowledgeable, and I appreciate the way that they speak from their wealth of experience. You won’t find “correct“ answers here, but instead honest thoughtful and experienced people discussing the intricacies of nuances of each topic. A great podcast for educators.
