New Bridge School Dismissal Update
March 17
Dear New Bridge Families,
Thank you for your patience at this time. We remain dedicated to the teaching and learning of each of our students. We also know that the health and safety of our community is our utmost priority. This message is meant to ensure that you are aware of critical information during this unusual time in our school year as outlined below:
Governor Gary Herbert has directed that schools take preventative measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19. March 16 & 17, schools are closed. These two days are planning days for teachers to prepare to deliver curriculum and instruction remotely to students. No classes will be held and no meals will be provided these two days.
Wednesday, March 18th through Friday, March 27th there will be no classes. Schools will provide materials to be used at home for these days. Students will spend approximately three hours each school day to complete the school assignments provided. Assignments may be returned via online classrooms or when students return to school, which as of now is April 6. Spring Break is still scheduled for March 28th-April 5th. Assignments will be available on Wednesday, March 18. (more information below)

Choose a Learning Scenario for Your Family
If you have access to an electronic device AND you have internet, your child’s instruction can take place completely online. There is no need to come to the school to pick up materials. Information about this will come from your child’s teacher via Seesaw or email before Wednesday morning. If you need to receive that communication in a different format, please contact your child’s teacher as soon as possible.
If you do NOT have access to an electronic device and do NOT have internet, your child’s learning will be in the form of a work packet. This packet will include work for the two-week period and may be picked up at New Bridge this Wednesday at the scheduled times listed below.
If you do NOT have a working electronic device but DO have access to internet, and your child is in grades 2-6, there is a possibility you may check out a Chromebook from the school. Chromebook checkout will take place Wednesday morning during the work pickup times listed at the end of this letter. (Student in good standing, one device per family; technology check out form must be completed and signed by a legal guardian; limited access, may only be logged in by and only used by OSD students; responsible for returning device in the same condition)
If you DO have an electronic device and do NOT have internet, Comcast is offering 2 months of free internet for qualifying families. Check your eligibility at the following link or number. Be aware that this could take some time to set up, so please pick up a student work packet for use in the meantime.
