Tiffany Hendrick

Communications Director, The Positivity Project

“What a treat this book is especially for the children who may be feeling a little lonely and isolated because of the pandemic.  As The Llove Llama takes children along on her journey around the world, she also teaches them valuable lessons about character strengths such as bravery and perseverance.

These messages are timeless as we teach children how to be good people and to overcome challenges.  This is a book you'll read again and again with your children.”  The Positivity Project website.

Jaime Cramer

Elementary School Teacher, Grand Blanc Schools

“The Llove Lama takes children on adventures around the world while teaching them important social-emotional lessons like kindness and empathy.  Children of all ages will be inspired to learn more about the land and cultures of faraway places.  Schools, teachers, and parents alike will benefit by using this book as an additional resource to teach geography and navigation in a fun way.”

Kathleen O'Keefe-Kanavos

Award-Winning Author

"Authors Monica and Sharla show us that storytelling with pictures and rhyme is a fun and excellent learning tool for children.

The Llove Llama shares a journey around the world through a young llama’s eyes. She faces challenges and makes friends with other animals. The Llove Llama learns the continents and navigation as she seeks the friendship of the child reader.

Monica’s teaching certification in K-12 is evident in the age-appropriate vocabulary and storytelling skills.  Sharla’s artistic vision for the story comes through in the creation of the original character drawings." Kathleen's website.

Kelli Pecararo

Elementary School Teacher, Oak Bluffs School

“If there's ever a year we need a little Llove LLama, this is it! A sweet story filled with adorable characters around the world, the Love Llama is written in poetic prose. Her story blends themes of friendship and tolerance while exploring different geographic regions and animals around the globe.

My students love to read about The Llove Llama's adventure as she meets one cute critter after another. All the while, they are sharpening their skills around the use of a compass and learn the continents. Let's spread a little love LLama style!"

Amanda Lepler

Retired Elementary School Teacher

“In this gem, young children will be thoroughly engaged in a book that delivers not only key geography concepts but also character education.  The post discussion questions, animal facts, and world map included in the book effectively support educators and parents in teaching core social studies curriculum.  Highly recommended!”
