Best Thai restaurant I had in the state so far. This place was recommended by my Thai coworkers. The food was amazing and authentic.
My all time favorite Thai food, papaya salad, was definitely the best dish. The sauce was well balanced with the spice and vinegary flavors. Everything was well marinated and flavorful. Definitely a must ordered dish.
My friend and I are not super into meat, but the grilled pork next was highly recommended by our waiter. The grilled pork was not salty or overly oily. However, there's still some fatty meats. I do think it's worth a try, if you LOVE meat then this is definitely your dish.
I was super excited to try Seafood Pad Cha, but I think it was just ok among the other dishes. There's a variety of seafood, but it wasn't amazing or as great as the other dishes.
Seafood Tom Yum was definitely another best dish we had that day. I'm not a soup person, but I enjoyed this dish very much. There's a lot of seafood in this soup. Again, the soup is well- balanced with the sourness and spices.
My friend also tried their Thai Tea and she said it is the best Thai tea she had in town so far. It's not overly sweet and the bitterness is just right.
My friend and I loved all the food we ordered. This restaurant is definitely worth a try. The portion and the price is unbeatable in Chicago. The service was excellent, our server was super friendly and gave a lot of great recommendations. He made sure our first experience with the restaurant was great and memorable. The restaurant is not too big, so make a reservation if you're planning to go during the business hours/days. Overall, the restaurant is cozy and a great place to hang out. I would definitely return to have the papaya salad and seafood Tom yum soup again, and try out other options!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 716247712Oct 6, 2023
We either got lucky and ordered the most delicious items on the menu, or everything on the menu is amazing because we loved all three dishes equally :)
The place is relatively small, so the tables are close to each other, creating intimate vibes.
Here's what we ordered:
Papaya Salad: So good and refreshing! The sourness of the papaya salad opens up your appetite, and it's great to share with the table.
Bangkok Wrap: Not sure what I was expecting. The mackerel was crispy and pairs well with the dipping sauce that comes with it.
Shrimp Tom Yum Fried Rice: So good. Tom yum flavors in fried rice are so interesting and it works! The shrimps were also jumbo and juicy.
We enjoyed our dinner here and can understand why it was so crowded when we visited.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Oct 1, 2023
I have walked past this place several times and I know it is a good sign when it is always packed. I went with a friend and they move quickly and service is always super friendly.
I ordered the beef salad and the boat noodles and both were amazing! My friend and I shared the crab rangoons and they were super cute and delicious. This was my first good thai restaurant that I've tried in Chicago and I will definitely be coming back. This is a great place to go on a date or just get dinner to catch up with friends.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Jul 8, 2023
I called just 30 min in advanced for a party of 6 and they made it happen so that was great. We ordered lots of food and the food was brought out as soon as it was made so we had a steady flow of hot food coming out. Staff was so sweet and accommodating and always checked in on us.
I can't bring myself to give a full 5 star, though. The restaurant is pretty cramped and we sat in the back where the door to the kitchen was. The bench seating on the wall leaned forward so I was concerned about it breaking at any point. The food was delicious for the most part, but the tom yum soup seemed very sweet along with some of the other dishes we ordered. Someone in the kitchen was very generous with the sugar.
Overall, I really like this place and I think you get a good amount of food per dish. The staff was lovely, too.Helpful 2Thanks 2Love this 0Oh no 0 - Eileen S.Chicago, IL395348Mar 18, 2024

SO good! Just moved to the neighborhood and I think we've found our new favorite Thai place! The prices were extremely reasonable, it's BYOB, and the food was absolutely delicious. I ordered the Udon Pad Khee Mao with Shrimp. It was one of the best Thai dishes I've ever had, and I ate every last bite. My boyfriend ordered the Thai fried rice and he loved it, he can be picky, but he was raving about it. We also ordered the crab rangoon, and it was also just as good as the entrees. The food came out quickly, and the service was great as well. It's great that it's open late too for late night cravings.

Pad Kee Mao was really good and Curry Fried Rice too. Green Curry had lots of flavor and vegetables.
Pad Thai - had pre-mix of eggs that they tried to remove when we requested vegan.
Everyone highly appreciated the flavors and would certainly recommend/ order again.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0Jul 25, 2015Previous reviewIt's so difficult to find really good Thai food in the city but this place was rock solid! I always judge good thai food by pad thai + curry and they excelled at both. And if they can tom yum right, it's 5 stars for me!
The place has convenient street parking in the area, the restaurant itself is modern and clean, and the service was attentive. The prices are super reasonable and the quantity sizes are perfect! - Pascal H.Chicago Loop, Chicago, IL927Mar 2, 2024
We usually order from this restaurant when we're craving for thai food. Food is always good, solid and consistent! We tried the pad see ew (w/ shrimp & extra noodles) and fried rice (w/ vegetable & extra chicken) this week and it was delish!
We actually never ate in the restaurant itself but the staff is always super friendly!
Highly recommended if you're in the area (or not!) :-).Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jenny r.Lakeview, Chicago, IL01540Sep 6, 2023
A small Thai restaurant in Belmont neighborhood.
Very well known among the Thai and local for their genuine taste. A little pricey but acceptable for a Thai like me.
The staff was friendly and nice.
Will be back because you know when you need something spicy you can rely on themHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
