Gidon Lev arrived at the Nazi concentration camp of Theresienstadt in former Czechoslovakia as prisoner number 885. He was six years old.

Gidon Lev's life has spanned the horrors of the Holocaust, the beginnings of a fledgling country, and the power of social media.

 

A remarkable octogenarian who refuses to be defined by a tragic and traumatic past, Gidon teaches young people important lessons about tolerance and hope.

Gidon has appeared on multiple media outlets internationally. Gidon and Julie tell Gidon's story as they combat antisemitism today.  Their contribution to the study of online antisemitism was awarded the Shimon Perez Prize in Berlin. Gidon and Julie have also been recognized in the Jewish 100 List by the Tel Aviv Institute.

Gidon has spoken to Holocaust educators at Yad Vashem in Jerusalem, to members of the Israeli parliament in the Knesset, and presented at the Crossroads of Civilization Museum in Dubai and the European Jewish Association in Prague.
