'Fox & Friends' Kilmeade draws crowd to book-signing event in Wichita Falls
Fans of "Fox & Friends" co-host Brian Kilmeade drew a steady stream of fans Saturday to the Books-A-Million in Wichita Falls, as the morning show presenter signed copies of his book, "Sam Houston & the Alamo Avengers."
Kilmeade's noon appearance wasn't for about another hour or so when fans began lining up, weaving through various sections of the store's collections and winding their way to where the author would ultimately stand, before shelves of his New York Times bestseller.
Fans, several having purchased the book to present for his signature, stood for as many as two hours for the chance to meet Kilmeade.
Kilmeade's book takes readers to the front lines of the fight for Texas, using personal letters and accounts leading up to and following the 1836 massacre of some 250 Texans by the Mexican army.
One of the trio of 'Fox & Friends' morning hosts, Kilmeade began his Texas book tour in Wichita Falls, with stops through Texas. Later Saturday, he was scheduled to travel to Waco; on Sunday, onto Dallas. He returns to Texas on Nov. 16 in San Antonio, and another appearance in Dallas on Jan. 22, 2020.
