Kilmeade's noon appearance wasn't for about another hour or so when fans began lining up, weaving through various sections of the store's collections and winding their way to where the author would ultimately stand, before shelves of his New York Times bestseller.

A steady stream of fans lined their way through the collections at the Wichita Falls Books-A-Million Saturday, waiting for "Fox & Friends" co-host Brian Kilmeade to arrive for a book signing. Kilmeade, author of "Sam Houston & the Alamo Avengers," had additional stops in Texas this weekend, including events in Waco and Dallas.

Fans, several having purchased the book to present for his signature, stood for as many as two hours for the chance to meet Kilmeade.

Kilmeade's book takes readers to the front lines of the fight for Texas, using personal letters and accounts leading up to and following the 1836 massacre of some 250 Texans by the Mexican army.

One of the trio of 'Fox & Friends' morning hosts, Kilmeade began his Texas book tour in Wichita Falls, with stops through Texas. Later Saturday, he was scheduled to travel to Waco; on Sunday, onto Dallas. He returns to Texas on Nov. 16 in San Antonio, and another appearance in Dallas on Jan. 22, 2020.
