Celebrating the Best of British Cheese
We have now held four successful awards which has attracted entries from 100s of cheesemakers from all four corners of the British Isles.
Our fifth VCA Final will take place on Wednesday 15th May 2024.
We are committed to helping the British cheese industry grow and thrive, which is why we donate the profits from the awards into our Bursary with the Specialist Cheesemaker Association.
In 2024 we will be funding a number of places for cheesemakers and speakers to attend The Science of Artisan Cheese Conference – 20th-21st August, Somerset.

2023 Winners
Montgomery Mature Traditional Cheddar
Montgomery Mature Traditional Cheddar wowed the judges with its sweet, savoury, nutty and caramel notes creating a complex depth of flavour. The cheddar is a traditional, handmade Somerset Cheddar, wrapped in muslin cloth and matured on wooden shelves for 12 months.
