Family home and business burned

During the Easter holidays, our father's house was hit by a fire, which destroyed a convent dating back to 1450, fortunately not causing any casualties. This was part of a group of houses dating back to the same years: a chapel, a convent and a farmhouse built in the 19th century.

In the 1980s, our father, with others' help, began a slow renovation of the site, working hard to keep the houses functional and authentic. He opened one of the first farmhouses in the area and offered hospitality to guests from foreign countries.

Since age 23, our father has worked tirelessly to maintain the property in constant renovation and often on a very limited budget. Since then, besides being his job, the holiday farm has been part of his and our past.

In addition to its historical value, the house was inhabited by our father, his wife Claudia and our sister Anita; its disappearance meant the loss of all their personal belongings and, above all, many memories, which became ashes in less than 15 minutes. For years, Novole has been a place that has required their effort and time but which has always been loved despite this.

The wooden beams of the 15th-century convent, which had held the structure strong for so many years, burned, thus causing the entire roof to collapse. Except for a few items, the furniture in the house was destroyed.

The fire that stroke on the 10th of April has devastating consequences for our father's small business, which risks closing down. Luckily part of the Agriturismo can still be rented this summer (the chapel, the arches and the farmhouse), but the economic losses are huge. We appeal to all those who want to help reconstruct Novole through collective efforts. The costs of the damage are around 100,000 euros. With this campaign, we aspire to cover at least the costs for the reconstruction of the roof, which would be equivalent to 50,000 euros.

Casa di famiglia e azienda bruciate

Durante le vacanze di Pasqua, la casa di nostro padre è stata colpita da un incendio, che ha distrutto un convento risalente al 1450, fortunatamente senza provocare vittime. Questo faceva parte di un nucleo di case risalenti agli stessi anni: una cappella, un convento e un casolare edificato nel XIX secolo.

Negli anni '80 nostro padre, aiutato, iniziò una lenta ristrutturazione del sito, lavorando sodo per mantenere le case funzionali ed autentiche. Ha aperto uno dei primi agriturismi della zona e ha offerto, sin da subito, accoglienza ad ospiti provenienti da paesi stranieri. Dall'età di 23 anni, nostro padre ha lavorato incessantemente per mantenere la struttura in continuo rinnovamento e spesso con un budget molto limitato. D’allora oltre ad essere il suo lavoro, l’agriturismo è parte del suo e del nostro passato.

La casa, oltre ad avere una valenza storica, era abitata da nostro padre, sua moglie Claudia e nostra sorella Anita e la sua scomparsa ha significato una perdita di tutti i loro effetti personali e soprattutto molti ricordi, diventati cenere in meno di 15 minuti.

Novole da anni è un luogo che ha richiesto il loro sforzo, fatica e tempo, ma che nonostante ciò è sempre stato amato.

Le travi in legno della casa del XV secolo, che hanno tenuto forte la struttura per tanti anni, sono bruciate, così provocando il crollo dell’intero tetto.

Fatta eccezione per pochi oggetti, i mobili della casa sono stati distrutti.

L'incendio scoppiato il 10 aprile ha conseguenze devastanti per la piccola impresa di nostro padre, che rischia il fallimento. Per fortuna parte dell'Agriturismo quest'estate si può ancora affittare (la chiesa, gli archi e la casa colonica), ma le perdite economiche sono ingenti. Ci appelliamo a tutti coloro che vogliano aiutare nella ricostruzione di Novole attraverso sforzi collettivi. I costi del danno sono sui 100.000 euro. Con il crowdfunding aspireremmo a ricoprire le spese almeno per la ricostruzione del tetto, che equivarrebbe a 50.000 euro.
