The 2024 theme reveals the festival intention, and the desire of our selected filmmakers, to tell stories in a vertical fashion. Stories that dive way beyond their own surface to force the audience to consider not only the obvious outcomes and meanings, but also the hidden and secretive ones.

2024 Submission Breakdown

For the 2024 festival, BFF has received 3,351 projects from 103 countries. In the specific, we received 499 Feature Narratives, 351 Feature Docs, 1,750 Short Narratives, 346 Short Docs, 267 Experimental Projects, 131 Animations.

BFF 2024 - 10 Days of Local and International Films

The 2024 festival will present 150 projects over the course of ten days. The films will play at Windmill Studios, Wythe Hotel, and online. The selected films will play in competition and the winners, besides the BFF Certificate of Excellence, will take home prizes (cash, products, services). Click for awards/prizes breakdown.
