A porn star who says she's the first to have an colostomy bag on set claims "confidence is the sexiest thing a person can wear".

GoAskAlex, 24, faced life-changing surgery back in 2019 which left her struggling to get back to work right away.

Now as it's been over two years since her op, the adult actress feels sexier than ever – and we love it.

In an exclusive interview with Daily Star, Alex revealed details of the past few years and how she's got to where she is today.

She admitted: "After undergoing my colostomy in 2019, I struggled with returning to work.

"I found that I had a lot less energy and my new body took some getting used to."

The Canada native believes she is the first porn star to display her colostomy pouch – and she's not ashamed of her disability.

She added: "Over time, I became more comfortable in my body and was able to express myself again.

"It has been two years now since surgery, and I can honestly say that my career is doing better than ever.

"I believe that confidence is the sexiest thing a person can wear, and I think that my fans feel the same way.

"I don't shy away from my disability, and I certainly can't hide it. After all, we can all relate to overcoming adversity in our own lives."

A colostomy bag is a small waterproof pouch used to collect waste from the body.

It involves a surgical procedure known as colostomy and formed between the large intestine and abdominal wall.

Although there might be a stigma behind these things, Alex hasn't felt like it's a problem with her line of work.

She said: "I have yet to experience any negative comments about my disability from fellow industry performers.

"In fact, my colleagues are some of my biggest cheerleaders."

She continued: "Since sharing my story, I've connected with countless other performers struggling with health issues of their own.

"The whole process has sparked a genuine sense of community for me.

"I do feel frustrated when fellow performers try to reassure me that my disability 'isn't a big deal' as it minimises my experience.

"That being said, I know that it comes from a place of love. I always take the opportunity to educate them with love and kindness!"

And in case you're wondering whether her disability impacts her job, the porn star claims it doesn't.

She revealed: "My medical device has never physically interfered with my performance.

"I have felt uncomfortable performing nude due to how visible my medical device is so you could say it 'gets in the way'.

"One goal I have in my career is to work with a large-scale porn company.

"For me, working with a well known company would say a lot about our industry's acceptance of disabled bodies.

"I haven't had much success with this yet, and sometimes I worry that it's due to my disability... but I won't give up!"

Now giving others advice on how to not feel embarrassed about their disabilities, the star says "being open is so rewarding".

She concluded: "Every person in this world deserves to feel sexy, and to be represented in the media.

"After all, people with disabilities watch porn too! Why shouldn't they see themselves in it?

"Whether it's an explicit photo, or a conversation with a friend, I hope that others struggling with their bodies will follow my lead."
