WILD WILLOW AT A GLANCE

Wild Willow Farm is a non-profit educational farm managed by the Resource Conservation District of Greater San Diego County. We are a nurturing space that encourages biocultural diversity, providing experiences to nurture self-empowerment and inspire people to connect to food, land, and each other.

We cater to a wide range of ages and skill levels, offering something for everyone. Bring your organization or school to the farm for a field trip or group activity, learn how to grow food in our farm school course, or gain a deeper understanding of health and wellness at one of our workshops or community events. Saturdays are open to the public for volunteering, exploring the farm and meeting our friendly staff.

We have been supporting and engaging the local community since 2010! Here's how we quantified some of our successes in 2022...

  • 6,280 lbs. of produce sold.

  • Taught approximately 1,755 students through 67 field trips.

  • 1,081 volunteers contributed over 3,242 hours.

  • Hosted 15 interns to help develop their careers.

  • 290 students educated through over 30 workshops.

  • Taught 54 students about regenerative agriculture through Farm School.

  • Diverted 750 lbs. of food scrap into compost.

  • Planted 21 new fruit trees through the OneTreePlanted event.

WHAT WE OFFER

CSA FARMSHARE

COMMUNITY VOLUNTEERING

Our volunteers play an important role in helping us to serve our community! Volunteering opportunities are currently being offered the second Saturday of every month from 9:30 - 12:00. Please RSVP to join us! All are welcome!

FIELD TRIPS & GROUP VISITS

We welcome groups from schools and organizations to learn about Wild Willow Farm and the importance of our regenerative practices. This learning opportunity teaches groups about compost, seeds, regenerative agriculture, and the roles that animals
play on a farm.

FARM SCHOOL

Farm School will teach you to understand the ecology of cultivation, agricultural sustainability and how to generate healthy living soil. Students actively learn and practice farm skills while participating as vital members of the Wild Willow community!

POSTS FROM OUR BLOG

"If you really pay attention, you’ll notice that there is an insurrection taking place. Sounds dramatic, right? Well, it is. Tribes of folks both young and old are taking up shovels against those who would stand in the way of them living an awake, healthy, purposeful, and independent life."
- Jay Reid, Farm School Student
