Taking classes at RLS has changed my life. A year and a half ago, my nest became empty and I was forced to focus on me. RLS pulled out of me dreams that had been deferred for over 30 years ago. The teachings there are helping to bring those dreams into fruition. I'm excited about the next 20+ years ahead as I give myself permission each day to just DO IT!!!!. Thank you RLS

Roll the tape! Richard Lawson Studios is the premier Actor's Studio. It is here at WACO ( Where Art Can Occur ) that actors can develop a solid foundation because of an excellent curriculum that is taught by skilled veteran teachers who are all passionate about their art and craft. RLS offers actors the opportunity to see their own growth through a series of classes from 1.0 - 3.0 and beyond, to develop their own body of evidence of their art through PDP, the class list goes on . Moreover, the actors confidence grows because of strength building, surrounded by a strong community where artists feel safe to express their true voice and share it with the world. I left the healthcare industry and began pursuing my childhood dream of acting at Richard Lawson Studios about 2-3 years ago. At RLS one of the main things I have learned is that Dreams Don't Have Experation Dates, and that anyone can begin their acting career no matter what age they are. As a student I've learned how to audition for roles, Improv, voice lessons, and Scene Study. Richard is a Wonderful mentor & teacher. And the community at RLS is a joy to be a part of as everyone is very friendly.

This place really yearns to create a community - for artists as a whole on every level. RLS offers various classes- allowing the artist (i.e. actor, writer, director, producer, editor, creator, performer) to grow in one field and explore another beyond just offering scene study. The entire team cares, and push the artist to use the tools to learn through ones self. Teaching styles may vary for different artists tastes, but they have set up processes to develop any person at any level in their career or in life.

No other performing arts school in the world gives the student a more wholistic approach to honing your craft. RLS addresses the individual as a whole, so that you can become a better artist. The technique approach which is addressed individually because everyone has their own unique techniques, the business side which covers the administration of your career and how to navigate such a nuanced industry, and the spiritual aspect that addresses your mental health and emotional stability. All necessary areas of concentration to be an effective performer, no matter your talent or craft.
This is a school for entertainment industry hopefuls or veterans.

I started at RLS in March, right before the stay at home orders were made. What I knew would be the one of best decsions I would make as an actor was confirmed not only my first day of class (in studio) but following that as well (now currently taking zoom classes). The enviorment at RLS is contagious, educational, and life changing. Every coach, mentor and student involved in the studio is dedicated and commited to learning and growing to get the next level. If you are looking for a studio that not only provides coaching, but mentorship, life practices, community (like-minded people) and also an abunance of growth this is for you!

My Biggest investment is my family and I've taken that investment and vested it with The Richard Lawson studios.

For me it is not only the education and training that my wife and daughter receive in all facets of the business , but it is the atmosphere provided by the RSL studio, that helps them to prepare and to deal with the emotional rollercoaster of being in the entertainment business.

RSL studios prepares students in all areas of the entertainment industry including teaching them how to create their own content and make their own opportunities, while at the same time giving them a positive environment to learn and create in.

Both my wife and daughter study and train at the Richard Lawson studios it is amazing and supportive community. The training provided not only helps them in the entertainment industry but in their life skills and beyond .

I took the audition boot camp and the instructors, instruction and the environment were all very awesome. If you're seasoned or new to the game I definitely recommend this glass to show you how to "book the room" and to gain or regain your confidence when auditioning.

BY FAR, THE MOST OUTSTANDING ACTING SCHOOL I'VE BEEN TO. Sorry for the CAPS, but with the training I've previously had in this business, Richard's "positive" approach & philosophies in building on one's strengths and discovering what sets you apart from others is truly an eye-opening experience within every class. In today's world with the advancements in technology that keep evolving and the accessibility to nearly anyone, I've seen first-hand how someone's life can change in a moment. The ability to tap into every aspect of being an artist, whether that be as an actor, singer, musician, comedian, director, writer, producer, editor, public speaker, host, you name it, at "RLS" the possibilities are endless. I'm honored to be a part of a truly wonderful community where everyone matters. The environment at Richard Lawson Studios is unequivocally a place "W.A.C.O." (Where Art Can Occur). My daughter is enrolled in The Young Artist's Program. I cannot tell you how her confidence has grown. For instance, after only two classes she signed with an agent. Thank you Richard and staff. We've found my home. :-)

First of all the community is amazing. I can't tell you how many times I had to utilize my community for EVERYTHING. I can't think of one person who was not available for me or didn't have anything I needed for my scene. The teaching is something else. This was the first class that I felt my growth in. I've learned so much about myself, the industry, and what I can bring to it and the 2 years that I've been with the studio. We amazing teachers and amazing programs that helps to progress you in your journey. It is seriously a space where art can occur without judgement.
