Olive Crowns 2017: JWT bags four Golds; Dentsu One, RK Swamy and Scarecrow bag two each

Newspapers are often seen as the enemy of green business and stand accused of destroying trees for their daily dose of newsprint. However, at the Olive Crown Awards 2017, the only award for environment friendly communication, newspaper brands from across the country ruled the roost.

 

At the seventh edition of the Olive Crown Awards that were held in Mumbai on 15 March 2017, J Walter Thompson bagged four Golds and a Silver to end with a metal tally of five to make it the most awarded agency on the night.

 

The agency bagged the 'Green Brand' and 'Campaign of the Year' for its '#SpiritOfBengaluru' entry for The Hindu. The agency bagged two more Golds and a Silver for the same entry.

 

Dentsu One won two Golds for work done on Toshiba. RK Swamy BBDO also bagged two Golds, both for work done on HT Media. Scarecrow Communications also won two Golds for work done for Spykar. 

 

Triton Communications (for Eureka Forbes) and The Mathrubhumi Printing and Publishing Co shared the 'Corporate Crusader' of the year award. Dentsu Webchutney's work for Maruti Suzuki got it a 'Jury Mention' in this category. The agency bagged a Gold for work done on Airtel in the 'Digital' category.

 

Interpublicity (Greenpeace) and Sideways Consulting (Paani Foundation) also won Gold on the night.

 

Dia Mirza was awarded the 'Green Crusader of the Year' Mirzafor her contribution towards the welfare of the society by associating with NGOs, in addition to  her constant efforts towards the green initiative.
